Grilled Chicken Breast with Herbs and Garlic

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)


Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, dried oregano, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. This will be our marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Seal the bag (or cover the dish) and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours to maximize flavor.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and let the excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Grill the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side until they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.
  6. Once the chicken is done, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. This helps keep the chicken tender and juicy.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
