Crispy Breaded Tilapia

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • ¾ tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Half a lemon (or lemon juice)
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Combine bread crumbs, chopped parsley, salt, paprika, and black pepper on a plate.

  2. Mix egg and lemon together in a bowl.

  3. Dip fillets into the egg and lemon mixture. Shake off any excess.

  4. Gently cover the fillets in the bread crumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.

  5. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Place the fillets in the pan and cook for approximately 4 minutes, or until they are golden brown on one side. Flip the fillets and continue cooking for about 5 more minutes, or until they easily flake with a fork.
    This tasted best when it's served right away.


Serve the Crispy Breaded Tilapia with your choice of sides, such as roasted potatoes, sautéed green beans, a simple garden salad, or buttered corn. The crunchy breading adds a satisfying texture, making this a perfect and balanced meal for any occasion.
